I got dress coded :(((
So basically I was wearing this fitted tank top that DID NOT have spaghetti straps btw. And I was wearing it just fine alllll day until my 2nd to last class of the day.
Since it’s the last day of the first week, the girls got their lockers today. We were supposed to fill out an online sheet before but I barely got my email today so I walked up to my teacher at the beginning of class to ask if I could still get a locker. This other teacher(not even my teacher) barely let me finish my sentence to tell me I had to go to the office because my shirt was inappropriate. It caught me a bit off guard so I stood for a second and said “like right now?” (not really as a serious question js because I was confused because no one else had said anything about it all day) and she didn’t waste a second to pull out her radio and call a security guard. So my friend just walked with me to the office and she gave me her sweater to pretend it was mine so I could just ask if I could cover up with it but they made me change into a BLACK tshirt. I don’t know why, out of all colors, they give us black shirts. I mean, I sorta get it because the school colors are black and orange but it’s literally been in the high 90s all day. Why couldn’t they give me an orange shirt? Why a black shirt???? Like I felt so hot.
When I got back to gym from the office, the same teacher saw me in the shirt and smiled at me with one of those dumb grins you see on mean people and she said “hi, how are you?” Sweating because of this stupid shirt you made me wear, thanks very much.
